Challenge
With so much conflicting information around electric vehicles, Audi wanted to help drivers make an informed decision about a potential move to electric, based on their individual driving needs.

Approach
A Service Vision Sprint approach uncovered early insights, expectations and app feature requirements from potential users that quickly informed the design of initial prototypes. Co-creating solutions with users and business stakeholders then helped to shape the build of an MVP mobile app to demonstrate the benefits of owning an electric vehicle.
Outcome
The launch of EV&me by Audi allowed users to track any journey to find out how their current vehicle running costs compare to driving an Audi e-tron 50.
Over time, the Android or iOS app highlights potential savings and range capabilities using GPS and Motion Activity Recognition to analyse mileage and driving habits, revealing practical and financial implications and helping users to decide whether a move to electric suits their needs.
A scalable architecture enabled other Volkswagen brands to release their own versions of the app, increasing consumer awareness and demand for VW electric vehicles, and ultimately driving adoption of carbon-free motoring.
